Maritime equipment

On ships and vessels, it is essential that the used equipment such as mobile radiotelephones, navigation systems and voyage data recorders (VDR) are operating as required. At Telefication we test maritime equipment as imposed by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), the organization that controls the Safety of Life At Sea (SOLAS) for all ships and vessels in the world. Telefication tests according to the IMO technical standards which cover many aspects of equipment installed or used on board of the ships, such as MF/HF/VHF transceivers, radars and SES. This includes tests based on the standards for Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS), Digital Selective Calling (DSC), Navtex, Inmarsat, Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) and Automatic Identification System (AIS). Our scope of testing services also includes testing of the operational and environmental requirements, according to the EN 60945 regulation.
