Ecodesign requirements for CE-marked products now in force.

Since April 2009, the Regulation Implementing Ecodesign Directive EC 278/2009 became in force. This directive falls under the CE marking scheme meaning that manufacturers who are CE marking their products must pay attention to the following:

By placing the CE mark, the manufacturer visually indicates that the marked product complies to EU regulations. As the Ecodesign Directive 2005/32/EC falls within the CE scheme, placing the CE mark now automatically implies compliance to the Ecodesign Directive. Consider the following:

Proof of this compliance must be present

The Declaration of Conformity must be updated
